Hi, check your BIOS, some higher end laptop models include a backlight time out setting that you can disable, then press F10 in BIOS to save changes (see picture)

To prevent your laptop keyboard backlight from timing out, you'll need to adjust the backlight timeout settings, either through the BIOS or Windows settings, depending on your laptop model. Some laptops also offer software controls that can override BIOS settings. Look for options like "Backlit Keyboard timeout" or "Keyboard illumination" and set it to "Never" or a longer duration.

    Steps to Adjust Backlight Timeout:-
    1. BIOS Settings:
Restart your laptop and enter the BIOS setup (usually by pressing F2, F10, Delete, or Esc during startup).
Navigate to the keyboard or system configuration settings.
Locate the "Backlit Keyboard Timeout" or similar option.
Change the setting to "Never" or a longer duration.
Save the changes and exit the BIOS.
The keyboard backlight should now stay on continuously.

    2. Windows Settings (If Available):
Open Windows Settings and go to "Devices" > "Typing".
    Look for "Keyboard backlight" settings.
If available, you can adjust the timeout duration or enable the "automatically adjust backlighting" feature.

    3. Software Controls (If Applicable):
Some laptops come with dedicated software for managing keyboard backlight settings (e.g., HP System Event Utility). Check the software for options to control the timeout duration or set the backlight to always on.

Thanks! Always a problem to get in my bios, the key to enter actually changes on its own and not even the manufacturer can help me 😭
