Hi, try using an external USB keyboard or the OSK (Screen Keyboard) if those work you have a hardware issue, check the KB cable connection inside, if nothing works you can try to boot to BIOS with F2 and reset with F9 and F10 (save changes) in BIOS. If still no KB, boot in Safe Mode by interrupting the booting 3 times with the Power Button. If that fails too take the laptop to an Acer accredited repair shop near your place to replace the keyboard (around $50).

If your Acer Aspire 7 laptop's built-in keyboard isn't working, try restarting your laptop, checking for dirt or debris, and ensuring Filter Keys is disabled. If the problem persists, try updating or reinstalling the keyboard driver, or checking for a stuck or disabled keyboard. If those don't work, it may be a hardware issue requiring professional repair.
Here's a more detailed breakdown of troubleshooting steps:

    1. Basic Troubleshooting:
    Restart your laptop:
A simple restart can often resolve temporary glitches.
    Check for obstructions:
Make sure there is no dirt, debris, or anything else physically blocking the keys.
    Disable Filter Keys:
Go to Settings > Ease of Access > Keyboard and ensure Filter Keys is turned off.
    Check keyboard settings:
In Windows settings, go to Devices > Typing and verify your keyboard settings are correct.
    2. Advanced Troubleshooting:
    Update or Reinstall Keyboard Drivers:
Open Device Manager (search for it in the Start Menu), find "Keyboards", right-click on your keyboard device, and choose "Update driver". If that doesn't work, try "Uninstall device" and then restart your computer to let Windows automatically reinstall the driver.

    Hard Reset:
Disconnect the laptop from the power adapter and, if possible, remove the battery. Then, hold down the power button for about 30 seconds to discharge any residual power. Reconnect the battery and power adapter, then turn on the laptop.
    Check for stuck/disabled keyboard:
In Device Manager, right-click the keyboard device and ensure it's enabled. You can also try the "Scan for hardware changes" option.
    Test in BIOS:
Restart your laptop and enter the BIOS setup (usually by pressing F2 or Delete during startup). If the keyboard works in BIOS, the problem is likely software-related.
