Do a reset of the laptop by going to Settings > System > Recovery > Reset this PC > Keep my files > as this will remove your apps and settings, but will keep your personal file and reset the OS and laptop settings to default and Windows Media Player will reset and the touchpad driver will also reset. Try that and let us know if it fixed these issues, as if it didn't, then your touchpad either FFC cable or the actual touchpad could be faulty and needs replacing. Good luck.

The Acer Swift Go 14 touchpad media controls not appearing might be due to a few reasons: driver issues, touchpad settings, or even a hardware problem. To troubleshoot, first ensure the touchpad is enabled in Windows settings and that the latest drivers are installed. You can also try disabling and re-enabling the touchpad or adjusting its sensitivity. If the problem persists, consider checking for BIOS updates and, if necessary, contacting Acer support for hardware-related issues.
Here's a more detailed breakdown of potential solutions:-

    1. Check Touchpad Enable/Disable Status:
Windows Settings: Go to Settings > Devices > Touchpad and make sure it's turned on.
Function Keys: Many Acer laptops have a dedicated function key (often Fn + F7 or Fn + F2) to toggle the touchpad on/off.
    2. Update or Reinstall Touchpad Drivers:
    Device Manager:
Open Device Manager, find your touchpad (under Human Interface Devices or Mice and other pointing devices), right-click, and select "Update Driver".
    Acer Support:
If updating doesn't work, try uninstalling the driver and restarting your laptop to let Windows automatically reinstall it. You can also download the latest drivers from Acer's website.
    3. Adjust Touchpad Settings:
    Sensitivity:
In the touchpad settings, you can adjust the sensitivity and other parameters to see if that helps.
    AcerSense:
If your laptop has AcerSense, you can try adjusting touchpad brightness or disabling media controls within the app.
    4. Check for BIOS Updates:
Acer Support: Visit Acer's support page and download any available BIOS updates for your model.
    5. Hardware Issues:
Acer Support: If none of the above steps work, it's possible there's a hardware issue with the touchpad or its connection. Contact Acer support for assistance or to explore warranty options.
