Laptop is an 'Acer Aspire 5 A515-57-713N', with everything up to date (including BIOS v1.30)
I have an SSD of 1000Gb (NVMe KINGSTON SNV2S1000G) on which I was able to successfully install W11 (after 'manually' loading 'IRST VDM' driver before choosing the partitions).
Everything is fully functional at OS level, and the SSD is visible in 'Device manager'.
The only 'problem' is that BIOS soesn't show anything in the 'HDD' section.
Any hints?

Your Aspire A515-57 (which I also own, see my bios caption below) which at HDD0 which is its boot slot that is a PCIe 4 x4 slot and the HDD1 is its slave slot that is a PCIe 3 x4 slot.

When you installed Win-11 24H2 and have all the updates to the last OS build: 26100.4484. You should have installed the Aspire A515-57 model laptop proper IRST (Intel® Rapid Storage Technology) Driver version 19.5.1.1040 driver, as if you didn't install this IRST proper driver, then you could have this problem that you are having. ,

But if you installed Win-11 24H2 on your Aspire A515-57-713N on the Kingston M.2 drive with the IRST version 19.5.1.1040 then the M.2 SSD drive should be showing in BIOS like in the caption below, and the Kingston M.2 SSD drive should be showing in BIOS, Disk Management, Device Manager and File Explorer as the A515-57 boot drive C:\. Its impossible that no drives are showing in bios like its showing in my bios below. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

This is my Aspire A515-57-56UV BIOS > Information showing 2x drives in slots HDD0 boot and HDD1 slave drives.

Thank you, Steven, I appreciate your implication!

Prior to the partitioning of the SSD, I did load that IRST driver, which is still displayed in device manager, storage controllers.

btw: in the 'installed APP', the IRST was updated by the 'Intel driver support assistant'.

See the attached pictures for an image of my bios.

My Aspire A515-57 also has its IRST updated form its oem IRST: v19.5.1.1040 to updated: v20.0.1021.0 and the bios shows all the M.2 SSD drives like above and both M.2 SSDs work perfectly. Go to this guide here "M.2 SSD Not Showing Up?" for further troubleshooting and see if that solves your A515-57 bios problem.

But if everything works then don't worry about it 'don't try to fix something that aint broken'😁 as it could be that the bios chip is corrupted in some way and its not displaying the drives, as I've never come across this sort of a problem, search the web and see if you can find a solution. Good luck.
