Hello,

I am the proud owner of a AN515-55-51QY.

I would like to connect it to multiple displays.

It seems impossible since the USB-C port does not support Alt Mode or Thunderbolt (or does it?).

Is it safe to connect it to a USB-C docking station considering the USB-C cable also serves for charging?

Would you have tips (or peripherals/hardware to buy) that would enable me to have multiple screens connected to the laptop?

Many thanks.

Tarek

Hi @tarek , You’re right that the USB-C port on the AN515-55-51QY doesn’t support video out (no Thunderbolt, USB4, or DisplayPort Alt Mode), so connecting external monitors directly via USB-C won’t work.

However, there’s a great workaround: I recommend using a USB 3.0 graphics adapter or a DisplayLink-based docking station. These use the standard USB-A port and can drive up to two 4K monitors at 60Hz in extended mode, provided your GPU and drivers are up to date.

Just make sure the dock or adapter explicitly supports DisplayLink technology, and download the latest drivers directly from DisplayLink’s official site.

This setup is perfect for office work, productivity, and even light media use across multiple displays—all without relying on native video-out through the USB-C port. https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-DisplayLink-Graphics-Outputs-Compatible/dp/B094G5JLNC?th=1
