A charging issue could be from numerous issues, but first we need to know what exact model you have like and as an example, if its a new Nitro laptop its an ANV15-xx if the older Nitro model its the AN515-5x, so look at the underside of your laptop as these numbers are there. Best is to take your laptop to a technician, as allot of the charging issues are an internal circuitry fault that you won't be able to fix. Good luck and hope this helps you out further.

If your laptop is older than 4 years then its the battery that could be faulty or locked and will need replacing and could be the issue, if not, then check the following issues:

    1. Dirty or damaged charging port
    2. Faulty power adaptor or cable
    3. Check the battery like instructed above
    4. Power management glitch
    5. Outdated or corrupted BIOS
    6. Do a Windows battery report and let us know
    7. Integral circuitry problems that relate to the charging phase of the laptop

If your Acer laptop is not charging, start by checking the basics: the power outlet, the charger, and the charging port. If those are all good, try a power drain, and if the problem persists, consider battery or driver issues.
    Here's a more detailed breakdown:-

    1. Check the Basics:
Power Outlet: Ensure the outlet is working by testing it with another device.
Charger and Cable: Inspect the charger and cable for any damage, like frayed wires or loose connections.
Charging Port: Check the laptop's charging port for any debris that might be blocking the connection.
    2. Try a Power Drain:
Remove the Charger and Battery: If your laptop has a removable battery, disconnect both the charger and the battery.
Hold the Power Button: Press and hold the power button for about 20 seconds to drain any residual power.
Reconnect and Try Charging: Reconnect the charger and battery and try charging the laptop again.
    3. Check for Battery Issues:
Remove and Reinstall Battery: If your laptop has a removable battery, try removing and reinserting it.
Consider Battery Replacement: If the problem continues, the battery might be faulty and need replacement.
    4. Driver Issues:
Update Battery Drivers: In Windows, go to Device Manager, expand "Batteries," and update the battery drivers.
Uninstall and Reinstall Battery Drivers: You can also try uninstalling and reinstalling the battery drivers.
    5. Advanced Troubleshooting:
    BIOS Reset:
Some users have reported success by resetting the BIOS to default settings.
Software Updates: Ensure your laptop has the latest software updates, including BIOS updates.
Contact Acer Support: If the problem persists, consider contacting Acer support for further assistance, especially if your laptop is under warranty.

Thank you for the responses. The charger needs replacement. Everything else is fine. Thank you.
