    Hi, follow these suggestions:

    🛠️ Upgrade & Performance Tips for Aspire 3 A315-57G (2020 Release)

    • Specs Overview:
      • 💽 CPU: Intel Core i5-1035G1 (10th Gen)
      • 🎮 GPU: NVIDIA GeForce MX330 with 2GB fixed VRAM
      • 🧠 RAM: Up to 20GB total (4GB soldered + 16GB upgrade slot)
    • VRAM Notes:
      • 🔒 VRAM is fixed on MX330 and can’t be upgraded.
      • 📊 Windows may show more “available graphics memory,” but actual VRAM remains 2GB.
      • 🧠 Adding system RAM improves shared memory allocation and multitasking responsiveness.
    • Performance Boosting Tips:
      • 🧹 Remove bloatware and disable non-essential background programs.
      • 📉 Keep background processes to 70 or fewer for optimal speed and system stability.
      • 🕹️ Lower in-game resolution and disable anti-aliasing to reduce GPU strain.
      • ⚙️ Use NVIDIA Control Panel to prioritize performance settings over quality visuals.
      • 🌬️ Clean internal cooling — fans may be dusty after 5 years of use.
      • ❄️ Reapply thermal paste if throttling or high idle temps are observed.
      • 🔄 Keep GPU and chipset drivers up to date from NVIDIA and Intel sources.

Your Aspire A315-57G just doesn't have enough ram for gaming, this laptop either comes with 0GB ram or 4GB onboard soldered memory and has provisions for a 1x removable ram slot that you can put a max 1x 16GB DDR4-3200MT/s CL22 type ram module. Also change the M.2 SSD drive to a Samsung 970 EVO NVMe PCIe 3x 4 as that is going to improve gaming speed also to the oen M.2 drive that you have fitted in your laptop.

Below is the Aspire A315-57G memory specs

So if you have 0GB internal soldered ram and you have a 1x 2GB ram module fitted, then take the 2GB module out and upgrade to a 1x 16GB DDR4-3200MT/s CL22 type ram.

If you have 4GB onboard ram and you take the 2GB removable ram out, and you upgrade and add a 1x 16GB DDR4-3200MT/s CL22 your total ram will be 20GB and then your gaming lag and slowness will improve even more, as all that will improve your Aspire A315-57G laptops gaming and performance by 200%. good luck and hope this helps you out.

Your Acer Aspire 3 A315-57G has a non-upgradable GPU (MX330), which limits gaming performance. However, you can improve system speed and responsiveness by upgrading the RAM up to 20GB (4GB onboard + 16GB slot). To reduce overheating and lag, clean the internals, consider reapplying thermal paste, and use a cooling pad. Tweaking in-game settings like resolution and graphics quality helps a bit.

The Acer Aspire A315-57G, while not designed for heavy gaming, can experience lag in low-end games due to its low-power CPU and integrated graphics. Potential causes include inadequate cooling, low-clocked video card, and insufficient RAM or HDD performance.
    Troubleshooting and Potential Solutions:-

    Cooling:
The Acer Aspire 3 A315-57G is known for its poor cooling system, which can lead to overheating and performance issues. Consider using a cooling pad or undervolting the CPU and GPU to manage temperatures.
    Video Card Performance:
The dedicated graphics card (if present) may not be running at its optimal frequency, causing stuttering. Check the video card's frequency and consider updating drivers or using a tool like MSI Afterburner to monitor and potentially adjust its performance.
    RAM Usage:
Ensure sufficient RAM is available and that background applications are not consuming excessive resources. Consider upgrading RAM if needed and optimizing background processes.
    Hard Drive:
A failing or slow hard drive can also contribute to lag. Check the health of your HDD and consider upgrading to an SSD for faster performance.
    Game Settings:
Ensure games are running at low graphical settings and resolutions to reduce the strain on the system.
    BIOS Updates:
Outdated BIOS can also cause performance issues. Check for and install any available BIOS updates.
    When to Consider Upgrading:
If you frequently experience stuttering and lag despite troubleshooting, it might be time to consider a laptop with better hardware for gaming.
If you are trying to play games that are more demanding than what the Acer Aspire 3 is designed for, upgrading to a gaming laptop may be necessary.
