Here are the GPUs they shipped with various XC-330 models:

All those require the 90W power supply instead of the 65W shipped with the modes that didn't have one of those GPUs installed. You really can't go much newer on the GPU just because there is so little power available, and they need to be the low profile cards to fit. The difference in the two supplies is only 25W, so the card can't draw more than that and still work…

The CPU is soldered to the motherboard, so a CPU change means a MB change. They shipped with:

Your biggest performance boost is going to be to use that m.2 PCie 3.0 interface for an NVMe x4 SSD. Clone the existing HDD to the SSD and boot from the SSD. After you have verified it all works, remove all partitions on the HDD and repurpose it as a single partition data or backup drive. That will give you a significant speed boost over what you have now.

    Hello billsey,

I have an Acer Aspire XC-330_W with AMD A9-9420 RADEON R5, 5 COMPUTE CORES 2C+3G 3.00 GHz and 4 GB of DDR4 installed.

Your recommendation about upgrading with a "m.2 PCie 3.0 interface for an NVMe x4 SSD" is very helpful.

I plan to upgrade my machine with more RAM. But I do not know what is the maximum RAM can be put in. Google Gemini mentioned that your answer is 32 GB. But I cannot find the answer in the link referred to this community.

So, can you please give me the recommendation.

Your answer will be highly appreciated.

    Hello again billsey,

I just follow a recommendation to check the maximum RAM capacity using the command prompt as follows,

[pressing the Windows key + R, typing "cmd", and pressing Enter. Then, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacity and press Enter.]

The answer I get is 4 GB! Does this mean that I cannot add more RAM to my Acer Aspire XC-330_W?

    Thank you for your answer.

You can put in up to 16GB of memory:
