Hi Acer Fam!
I have Acer Nitro V15 (ANV15-41), and see that it has USB 4 (Type c) port connection, will full function label on it. I'm just wondering if does it support DP alt mode, because I'm planning to buy 180-200+ hz monitor this week.

Thanks!

Hi, you’re right to be skeptical. The Acer Nitro V15 ANV15-41 is a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode support. Here's the situation:
Some users on the Acer Community claim the USB4 Type-C port supports DP Alt Mode, citing the “full function” label.
However, in a separate thread, an Acer Community ACE (trusted contributor) clearly states that the ANV15-41 does not support video output via USB-C, even when using Acer’s own 12-port USB-C hub.

The official user manual and product support page don’t confirm DP Alt Mode support either
    What this likely means:
Despite the USB4 label, DP Alt Mode is probably not wired through the USB-C port on this model. Acer has done this before—using USB4 for data and charging only, while reserving video output for HDMI.

    Best advice:
Use the HDMI port for external displays.
If you need more outputs, consider a DisplayLink-based USB3.0 adapter (requires a driver). https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-DisplayLink-Graphics-Outputs-Compatible/dp/B094G5JLNC?th=1
