I have an Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 laptop and I recently started having troubles with my touchpad, the touchpad was working fine but suddenly stopped working. I rebooted my laptop and again it started working but again it stopped working after a minute.

Now this has happened four times in a row, i reboot the laptop and it starts working and again stops working after some time. Should i reinstall the drivers or something else?

The problem is that the HID-compliant touch pad driver or the 12C HID devices drivers are corrupted and needs to be refreshed or reinstalled, so first refresh the HID compliant touch pad and the 12C HID Devices driver (see the refresh drivers method below) as this should permanently fix this issue of the HID devices disappearing. For the compete reinstall use your PHN16-7x Touchpad Driver provided by Acer support for your appropriate model laptop. Good luck and hope this helps you out

Driver Refresh >Go to Device Manager > Human Interface Devices > select HiD compliant touch pad and 12C HID > right click the on these two then choose Properties > Driver > Update Driver > Browse my computer for drivers > Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer > and then pick the last and most recent dated driver that is in that list, and reinstall that driver, as afterwards your 12C HID device should work and not disappear like its done before.
