Hello Community.
I bought a new Nitro V 15 laptop yesterday. I'm using my old BenQ G2400WD as a second monitor. On my old computer, it is able to display 1900x1200 resolution. I am using a new HDMI cable, should be newest standard. I can "Force" the resolution with NVIDIA Control Panel app, but the result is very blurry and ugly.
Integrated monitor (1) is using AMD Radeon™ Graphics card, driver date 11/12/2024.
Second monitor gets assigned to NVIDIA Geforce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU, driver version 32.0.15.7680 6/12/2025, although NVIDIA App, which I used to install the driver, shows that the driver version is 576.80, 6/17/2025.
If I uninstall the AMD Radeon completely, the both monitors work on NVIDIA, but the resolution problem persists on the second monitor. If I uninstall the NVIDIA driver, then the computer does not recognize the second monitor.
I have narrowed down that the problem is probably with the driver (NVIDIA?) not installing correctly. It could be the case given that NVIDIA app and device manager give different versions. I have updated the BIOS. I have tried different HDMI cables. I have not tried a DVI cable. I have downloaded and installed and uninstalled the drivers for my monitor, but they are old (2012). I wouldn't want to hear that my monitor is too old, and that is the reason for all this, because it should work. :/ Thankful for any help!
