I have an Acer TravelMate P614-53-TCO (Model Number: TMP614-53-TCO, Part Number: NX.B0AEY.001). Before formatting the device, I was able to use the Acer User Sensing software (the one that detects user proximity and dims the screen when you're away). However, after reinstalling Windows, I can’t find where to download it anymore.

I’ve checked the Acer support site, but I don’t see User Sensing listed under the drivers or applications for my device.

Where can I download the Acer User Sensing software again? Any help or direct link would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, you might try: Acer Care Center or Acer Vantage sometimes reinstalls or detects User Sensing features on supported machines.
The software may be hidden under another name like “Acer Proximity Sensor Driver” or embedded within Windows Update optional packages.
Occasionally, it’s bundled with Intel Software Components (like Context Sensing or Intel DCM) — which could reinstall User Sensing logic in the background.

Some Acer TravelMate models ship with Acer User Sensing Software. This software enables the built-in proximity sensor located beside the webcam to allow you to quickly login as you approach your computer, or lock it when you leave. You can also set break reminders and screen distance reminders to protect your eyes.

Note: Acer User Sensing Software is not available on all models. If Acer User Sensing software was not preinstalled on your computer from the factory, your model will not support this feature.

How to start Acer User Sensing software

    1. Click the Start ⊞ button, then select All apps
    2. Click the Acer User Sensing on the Apps screen or select the Acer User Sensing icon from the taskbar if it is available. Acer User Sensing Software.jpg

Note: Acer User Sensing icon on the task bar is available on select countries only.

    3. Click the toggle to choose your desired settings:

If you have deleted the software, either by manually removing it via the Apps section in Settings or by reinstalling Windows without using the reset or refresh options, and you didn't create a recovery drive when the system was new, you will have to contact Acer support and either get a factory image or see if they can provide the software separately. Likely their licensing doesn't allow them to freely distribute it, as with Windows itself, which explains why it's not on the download site.

Hello, I solved the issue. When I searched directly for Acer User Sensing in the Microsoft Store, the app did not show up. But after changing my VPN a few times to countries like Taiwan and the USA, the app appeared. Here is the link to the app:

To download Acer User Sensing for your TravelMate P614-53-TCO, navigate to the official Acer support website and locate the Drivers and Manuals section. You can search for your specific model (TravelMate P614-53-TCO) using the serial number, product model, or by browsing the product list. Once you've found your device, select the appropriate operating system and then locate the Acer User Sensing application to download it.

The app you mentioned is not available on this Acer support page:
There was an error displaying this embed.

    However, it is available here:
There was an error displaying this embed.

The thing is, if you search for it in the normal Microsoft Store, it won’t show up. You can only see and download it if you use a VPN and change your location to countries like Taiwan or the USA. Once connected via VPN to those regions, the app appears in the Microsoft Store and you can download it.
