Hello. I have an Acer Nitro V15 ANV15-51-56KX (RTX 4050, i5-13420H, Windows 11), and I encountered a serious problem.

What happened:

I was playing Portal RTX on ultra graphics. At first everything worked fine, but at one point everything completely froze, including the sound. Out of fear, I turned off the laptop forcibly, after which I turned it on and went back into the game, already on medium graphics settings. But after a while the situation repeated itself: the game froze, I managed to exit the game, but the whole system was lagging, and when I tried to start the task manager, a blue screen of death (BSOD) appeared with the DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION error.

What I tried:

Installed drivers for the video card from the official Acer website

Also tried drivers through the NVIDIA App

Reinstalled Windows, Reinstalled the Intel(R) Management Engine Interface, Intel(R) Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework and Intel(R) Serial I0 12C Host Controller driver

After that, in games, even less demanding ones (Half-Life 2, Garry's Mod), the laptop can start to lag wildly, like 1 frame per hour (although it shows ~140) and a BSOD appears.

I also noticed:

The problem occurs only when the laptop is connected to charging. I haven't observed this without charging.

Question:

What could it be?

Is this a problem with the drivers or something more serious?

Is it worth contacting the service center under warranty?

Thanks for the answer!
