After A water spill on the keyboard of my laptop the battery percentage became 0%(even though it was not). this led the laptop to require it being plugged in even though when you unplugged it when it was booted into it worked. The battery eventually died. After being replaced the process repeated. The CPU was stuck 400 mhz because the battery was always detected at 0%. Any fix for this. Thanks.

Hi, I recommend taking the laptop to Acer Services in your country to check the motherboard, the warranty will have expired after 3 years so their will be charges.

Your Predator PH315-55 laptop if its had a water spill and its under warranty, Acer's Tech Support will not fix your laptop under warranty as it will be voided because of the water spill. What Acer will )if you approve) is they will replace the mainboard with a new board, as Acer do not fix or replace mainboard chips, which means that its going to be very expensive if you get Acer to fix this laptop.

Just as an example, a top of the range new mainboards like the i9-12900H with the RTX3080Ti gpu is a humungous USD $3,862.54 or an i7-12700H with the RTX3080Ti gpu is USD $3,310.95 or the i5-12500H with the RTX3080Ti is USD $2,454.39 or the cheapest new board with the i5-12500H and the RTX3060 is USD $1,989.67 so a new PH315-55 mainboard is very expensive when you can get this board fixed (if its fixable and the cpu is not fried, as then you need a new board) if the board can be fixed, it will be at around USD $200.

I suggest that you take your laptop to an experienced technician that can fix the mainboard and first clean the board and then fully analyse and pinpoint the exact issues that the water spill has had internally on your laptop, as those symptoms that you are getting sound like the main power and the charging rail were all affected in charging and carrying current to the cpu which you can't do anything about and/or fix, as you need a professional technician who has the appropriate tools to fix your Predator PH315-55 for you. Good luck and hope this helps you out further.
