I want to clean my predator Helios neo-16. But the screw in the middle has sticker saying warranty void if removed. Do I need to go through the hassle of taking it to service center without voiding warranty?

If you are very careful, using the proper screwdriver set, don't strip screws as these are locked with a compound that require some force, disconnect the battery cable from the motherboard and don't touch anything else inside, you will be OK. Do not use any form of liquid, no vacuum cleaner or compressed air and just a soft cosmetic brush and a rubber ball blower to blow out the vents (available in any computer shop) the warranty will not be voided, if you cause any damage like stripped screws damage to the cover or applying thermal paste Acer may void the warranty. If you never opened a gaming laptop before I recommend asking an Acer accredited repair shop near your place to do it for you for a small service charge.

Opening the back panel of your Predator Helios Neo 16 may void the warranty if you remove the screw with the “Warranty Void if Removed” sticker—especially in some countries. However, you can contact your local Acer support to clarify warranty terms, as in some regions the warranty isn’t voided unless user-caused damage is found.

Generally, removing exterior stickers from a laptop (like the ones with CPU or GPU information) does not void the warranty. However, removing warranty stickers (often located on the bottom of the laptop or inside) will void the warranty. Damage caused during sticker removal or by sticker residue may also be excluded from warranty coverage.

    Here's a more detailed breakdown:
    Exterior Stickers:
Stickers like Intel or Nvidia logos on the exterior of the laptop do not void the warranty.
    Warranty Stickers:
Stickers that state "warranty void if removed" are a different story. Removing them will void your warranty.
    Damage:
If you damage the laptop during sticker removal, or if the adhesive from the stickers causes damage, this may not be covered under warranty.
    Tips for sticker removal:
    If you're unsure:
It's always a good idea to check with the laptop manufacturer's support or warranty information before removing any stickers.
    Gentle Removal:
Use heat (a hairdryer on low) and patience to carefully peel off the stickers.
    Residue Removal:
Use a mild solvent like isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) to clean any adhesive residue.
    Documentation:
If you remove any warranty stickers, take photos before removing them to document their original location and condition.
