Hi, you can try resetting the battery, there is a small pinhole in the back of your laptop (with a battery sign), stick a pin in that hole till you feel it click (micro switch), keep pressing the pin for a few seconds. The battery is 4-years old and may need to be replaced.

If an Acer Nitro AN515-57 powers on but displays a black screen, it could be due to a few potential issues, including problems with the display itself, graphics drivers, or even hardware malfunctions. Here's a breakdown of troubleshooting steps:-

    1. Check the Basics:
    External Monitor:
Connect an external monitor to see if the display is working. If the external monitor shows an image, the issue is likely with the laptop's screen or its connection to the motherboard.
    Hard Reset:
Try a hard reset by holding the power button for 10-15 seconds to shut down the laptop completely. Then, power it back on.
    BIOS Settings:
Access the BIOS by pressing F2 or the designated key during startup. If you can access the BIOS, try loading default settings by pressing F9 and then F10 to save and exit.
    Disconnect Peripherals:
Remove any external devices like USB drives, external hard drives, or other accessories, and try booting again.
    2. Troubleshoot Display Issues:
    Driver Issues:
If the external monitor works, the problem might be with the display drivers. Try updating or reinstalling the graphics drivers.
    eDP Cable:
If the external monitor doesn't work, the issue could be with the eDP cable connecting the screen to the motherboard. Check for loose connections or damaged pins.

    Screen Replacement:
If the above steps don't resolve the issue, the laptop screen may need to be replaced.
    3. Check for Hardware Problems:
    RAM:
Faulty RAM can cause startup issues. Try reseating the RAM modules or testing with a single module at a time.
    GPU:
If the problem persists, the graphics card itself might be faulty. This might require professional hardware diagnostics.
    4. Consider other possibilities:
Overheating: Ensure the laptop is properly ventilated and not overheating, as this can cause display issues.
Software Conflicts: Corrupted or outdated software, especially graphics drivers, can cause black screen problems.
BIOS Issues: If the BIOS is corrupted, it can prevent the laptop from booting properly.
