Hi, If Discord’s window appears blurry—even though your system is running at full resolution—there are a few things you can try. Adjust High DPI Settings. Right-click the Discord shortcut or executable. Select Properties > go to the Compatibility tab. Click Change high DPI settings. Under High DPI scaling override, check the box and set it to Application. Click OK and restart Discord. This forces Discord to scale properly with your system’s native resolution.

Clear Discord Cache. Corrupted cache files can cause display glitches: Press Win + R, type %appdata%\discord\Cache, and hit Enter. Delete all files in that folder. Restart Discord.

Disable Hardware Acceleration Sometimes hardware acceleration causes rendering issues: Open Discord > User Settings (gear icon). Go to Advanced. Toggle Hardware Acceleration off. Restart the app.

Check GPU Drivers If you recently updated or reinstalled your GPU drivers, Discord might not be syncing properly with your display settings. Try reinstalling or rolling back your GPU drivers.

The low resolution issue with your taskbar and cursor when Discord is open is likely due to a scaling or compatibility issue between Discord and your system's display settings.

Here's how to troubleshoot: 1. Adjust Display Settings: Change your display resolution and scaling settings to the recommended values. 2. Check for Software Conflicts: See if the problem persists when only Discord is open. If it's specific to Discord, try reinstalling it. 3. Update Graphics Drivers: Ensure your graphics drivers are up to date.

    4. Restart Graphics Driver: Try restarting the graphics driver using the WIN+CTRL+SHIFT+B command. 5. Compatibility Settings: Try using compatibility settings for Discord (right-click on the .exe file, go to Properties, then Compatibility). 6. Disable OpenH264: In Discord settings, under Voice & Video, disable "OpenH264 Video Codec provided by Cisco." 7. Repair/Reinstall Discord: If the issue persists, try repairing or reinstalling Discord.

    Here's a more detailed breakdown:
    1. Adjust Display Settings:
Go to Settings > System > Display.
Ensure the resolution and scaling are set to the recommended values for your monitor.
If you're using a high-DPI display (like 4K), ensure your scaling is appropriately set.
Restart your computer after making changes.
    2. Check for Software Conflicts:
Close all other applications besides Discord.
See if the issue persists with only Discord open.
If the problem is isolated to Discord, try reinstalling it to rule out corrupted files.

    3. Update Graphics Drivers:
Open Device Manager (search for it in the Windows search bar).
    Expand Display adapters.
Right-click on your graphics card and select Update driver.
Choose to search automatically for drivers.
    4. Restart Graphics Driver:
Press Windows key + CTRL + Shift + B to restart your graphics driver.
If this fixes the issue, it's likely a driver problem.

    5. Compatibility Settings:
Locate the Discord executable file (usually in C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Local\Discord).
Right-click on the file and select Properties.
    Go to the Compatibility tab.
Try checking the box that says "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and selecting different Windows versions.
Experiment with the "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" option.
Also try the "Run this program as an administrator" option.

    6. Disable OpenH264:
Open Discord and go to User Settings (cogwheel icon).
    Navigate to Voice & Video.
Scroll down to the "OpenH264 Video Codec provided by Cisco" setting and uncheck the box.
    7. Repair/Reinstall Discord:
If the problem persists, try repairing or reinstalling Discord.
You can usually repair Discord by running the installer again.
To reinstall, uninstall Discord through Settings > Apps > Apps & features, then download the latest version from the Discord website.
