Ssd is not found while booting on Acer Nitro 5

I have an Acer Nitro 5 laptop with a single storage partition. I used MiniTool Partition Wizard to shrink the partition and create a new one. After that, I tried to reset Windows, but it failed, saying the recovery media couldn't be found.

Then I attempted a fresh Windows installation, but the SSD wasn't detected in the boot menu. Hoping to fix the issue, I used MiniTool again and deleted the entire drive where Windows was installed. Unfortunately, the drive is still not showing up during installation, and now my laptop has no operating system. I'm really worried—what should I do now?

Hi, Windows Disk Management is built into the OS, so it's inherently safer for basic tasks like creating, deleting, or resizing partitions. It's more limited in functionality than MiniTool but less likely to cause system instability

What is the exact model of your Nitro 5 laptop, should be something like the AN515-5x, give us the exact model.

Don't use MiniTool Partition Wizard to shrink a partition, as you don't need to, as your Nitro 5 model laptop has of extra drive capacity options to use for storage, as its got provisions for an extra M.2 SSD drive and an option for a 2.5" SATA 3 drive, so why would you want to shrink a partition on a boot drive?

With the problem with the clean install of the windows OS for your Nitro 5, the reason why your Nitro 5 laptop M.2 boot drive is not recognized during the windows installation process, is because you need to put your Nitro 5 models specific IRST (Intel® Rapid Storage Technology) Driver Folder version onto the bootable installation USB first, before you commence the installation process and you boot into the installation USB.

As when you get to the windows installation section at "Where do you want to install Windows? > Load driver" you install this IRST driver so that windows recognizes the M.2 SSD boot drive of your Nitro 5 and you can continue the installation, as you can't install windows any other way. So do all that as then you will be able to install a fresh clean install of either Win-10 or 11. Good luck and hope thus helps you out further.
