Hi, I bought a new Triton Neo 16 and tried charging it with my phone's charger (it's only 33W) and it didn't work at all. I understand ideally I should use a 100W one, but I wanted to know which chargers are compatible, and which are optimal.

Thanks!

Sometimes you need the right Charger and the right Cable - and they might work good for some things but not for others - it is kinda one of these puzzle games of madness we have around. I don't have a single thing that works good with everything, it depends on both the Charger, Cable and the Item. It is kinda try and error to find the perfect fit that works the best. Sadly so.

I tried the USB for my new laptop, I have 3 >= sources of 100 watts, yet different cable is needed for things to work, and one source works better then the other on DC to DC - I have 2 AC to DC but only tried 1 and rather wanna go DC to DC from my energy source as it uses less energy from the battery.

But yea….. Trial and error pretty much. Different adapter and different cable can make different results depending on what Item you use, sadly so. Which is why it is nice with some kind of thing to check how well it does as well and how many watts is going into it.

I wrote 3 as I did not remember the 4 source as I wrote later in the writing - forgot to correct it.

Just for information :) I guess I am old and things tend to….. not always be remembered in the moment, and then it comes up a little later.

The Acer Predator Triton Neo 16 can be charged via USB-C, supporting USB Power Delivery (PD) up to 100W, and also utilizes a dedicated DC charging port. Compatible USB-C chargers should support Power Delivery (PD) and output at least 65W (ideally 100W for faster charging), while the DC port uses a 20V, 65W adapter.

    USB-C Charging:
    Power Delivery (PD):
The laptop's USB-C port supports USB PD, allowing it to be charged with compatible chargers.
    Minimum Wattage:
A 65W USB-C PD charger is the minimum requirement for charging, according to some online sources.
    Recommended Wattage:
A 100W USB-C PD charger is recommended for faster charging and optimal performance, according to some online sources.
    Compatibility:
Ensure the USB-C charger is PD compliant and provides the necessary wattage.
    DC Charging:
Dedicated Port: The laptop also has a DC input port for a dedicated AC adapter.
Voltage and Wattage: The DC port requires a 20V, 65W adapter, which is commonly included with the laptop.
Compatibility: Ensure the DC adapter is specifically designed for the Acer Predator Triton Neo 16 and provides the correct voltage and wattage.

In summary, while the laptop can be charged via USB-C with a PD charger (65W minimum, 100W recommended), it also has a dedicated DC charging port that utilizes a 20V, 65W adapter.
