Anybody else having problems with usb drives?
Attached a usb drive and shared it with SMB. However, folder does not show the full content. In this particular case, only 37 files were shown but should have maybe around 100. Also, refuse to write anything (maybe unrelevant, I don't know).
Detaching and attaching the drive again did help, at least one time and for short period of time.

WD Elements 2TB, reported to have 1,8GB and free space 610GB at the moment. Using NTFS.

Any hints how to make it work better?

One thing to mention: restarting the router does not help.

To make a USB drive work better with your Predator Connect W6 router, ensure the drive is formatted correctly (FAT32 or NTFS), try different USB ports, and verify the USB cable for damage. Also, check for firmware updates for your router and consider accessing the drive through the router's interface for potential troubleshooting steps.

    Detailed Steps:-
    1. Correct Formatting:
Ensure your USB drive is formatted with a compatible file system. FAT32 or NTFS are commonly supported by routers. If the drive is formatted with an incompatible file system, reformat it using a computer.
    2. Try Different USB Ports:
The Predator Connect W6 likely has multiple USB ports. Try connecting the USB drive to different ports to rule out any port-specific issues.
    3. Inspect the USB Cable:
A damaged or faulty USB cable can cause connection problems. Try using a different USB cable to connect the drive to the router.
    4. Check Router Firmware:
Outdated firmware can sometimes cause compatibility issues. Check if there are any firmware updates available for your Predator Connect W6 router and install them if available. You can usually find firmware updates on the Acer support website or within the router's web interface.
    5. Access the USB Drive via Router Interface:
The router likely has a web interface where you can manage connected USB drives. Access the interface (usually by entering the router's IP address in a web browser) and look for options related to storage or USB drives. There might be specific troubleshooting steps or settings related to accessing the drive through the router's interface.
    6. Test on Another Computer:
If the drive is still not working, try connecting it to another computer to verify if the issue is with the drive itself or the router.
    7. Consider Router Settings:
Some routers have settings related to USB storage access, such as enabling or disabling access for specific devices or users. Check your router's settings to see if any relevant options are enabled or disabled.
