It sounds like you're experiencing a network issue where only Google Chrome can access the internet on your Chromebook, while other apps cannot. This is often due to a few common causes: a problem with the specific app, a configuration issue with your Wi-Fi network, or potentially a Chromebook setting. Here's a breakdown of possible causes and troubleshooting steps:-

    Possible Causes:
    App-Specific Issues:
The app itself might have a problem, be outdated, or be incompatible with your Chromebook's version of Android or ChromeOS.
    Wi-Fi Network Problems:
Weak Signal: The Wi-Fi signal strength might be too low for some apps to connect, even if Chrome can manage with a weaker signal.
Incorrect Network Settings: The app might be using a different network configuration than Chrome, or there could be an issue with your saved network profile.
Blocked Apps: Some networks, especially in educational or public settings, might block access to certain apps.
DHCP Issues: There might be a problem with your router's DHCP server, which assigns IP addresses to devices.

    Chromebook Settings:
Wi-Fi Disabled: Make sure Wi-Fi is turned on in your Chromebook's settings.
Conflicting Extensions: Some Chrome extensions can interfere with network connections.
    Router Issues:
Your router might be experiencing a temporary glitch, or there could be a configuration problem preventing some apps from connecting.
    Troubleshooting Steps:-

    1. Restart Your Chromebook:
A simple restart can resolve temporary glitches.
    2. Check Wi-Fi Connection:
Ensure Wi-Fi is turned on in your Chromebook's settings.
Disconnect from the network and reconnect.
Confirm you are connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
    3. Update Chrome OS and Apps:
    Check for Chrome OS updates.
Update your apps through the Google Play Store.
    4. Run Chrome Connectivity Diagnostics:
Google offers a tool to test your network connection and identify potential problems.
    5. Check App Compatibility:
Make sure the app is available in your location and compatible with your device.

    6. Troubleshoot Network:
Try a different Wi-Fi network if available.
    Restart your router.
Consider using a VPN to see if that helps.
    7. Clear App Data and Cache:
If the problem is with a specific app, clearing its data and cache might help.
    8. Factory Reset (Last Resort):
If all else fails, you can factory reset your Chromebook, but be sure to back up your data first.
    9. Check for Viruses and Malware:
Run a scan with antivirus software to rule out any malicious software affecting your connection.
