It would seem there is an alarming number of threads regarding this model of laptop and its failure to charge.

is there any sort of clarification from acer regarding there being so many issues and has there been a suitable fix for this issue?

The Predator G3-571 laptop was released 8 year ago and if you haven't changed the original battery then that could be a reason why the laptop is not charging as these batteries last for a max of 4 years before they start to have charging problems and the battery is beyond accepting a charge or the actual internal charging rail is faulty. If you haven't change the battery, I suggest that you do that and see if the laptop is charging, also check the charger if all that works then its an internal issue with your laptop and you need to take the laptop to a technician so that they can pinpoint the exact fault. Good luck

G3-571 Batteries and adapters that Acer lists for this laptop.

Battery coming on Saturday already had someone look at it they managed to get the battery to charge to 75% but it dropped despite being plugged in in 24 hours.

None of the other battery fixes posted throughout the threads have had any impact .

Just seems theres a lot of these devices out there with the same problem, are we all being sold a pup?

If the laptop doesn't charge its either the battery, adapter of the laptops charging rail that a chip called a BQ chip that is an advanced battery monitoring, protection, and controls the charging capabilities of the laptop. if your Predator G3-571 laptop is just giving you problems with an 7-8 years old battery, then its been pretty good value.

Just spoke to the IT chap who got the battery to charge to 75% apparantly that was a new battery and the charger was tested on another laptop and was working so I think maybe this BQ chip you mentioned.
