After the last update, Nitrosense no longer changes the GPU's operating mode. I uninstalled and reinstalled Nitrosense, but it didn't fix the problem.

    1. Download the free version of Revo uninstaller and uninstalled nitro sense with it. It's important to let revo scan after uninstall because it'll find garbage files in registry that sense leaves behind and probably corrupts any new install. Let it clear those files.
    2. Go to Acer's website and download Nitrosense for your laptop. (If there's different version of nitrosense available then try them all one by one and check which one work for you)
    3. Extract folder and run Setup.exe
    4. Run Command prompt as Administrator
    5. type in the following and press enter (without the quotation marks): ".\lodctr.exe /R"
    6. Go back to the folder where you extracted Nitrosense
    7. Go into "Nitrosense V3.1" folder
    8. Run APPXBUNDLE file
    9. After that, Nitrosense immediately launched, and now it's back on my Taskbar, running every time I click on it.

    If issue, persists then:

Download and install the latest version of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable, specifically versions 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2022. You need to install both x86 and x64 version. This is necessary for the NitroSense application to function properly. You can find it on the Microsoft website here.

If this still doesn't work, try downloading and installing the Microsoft Visual C++ All-in-One pack. If nitrosense need a specific version not available above then this will help, use the link I provided to download and install the latest Visual C++ All-in-One pack:

If NitroSense on your Acer Nitro laptop is not correctly switching the GPU operating mode, there are several troubleshooting steps you can try. First, ensure you have the latest version of NitroSense installed and that your graphics drivers are up to date. You might also try uninstalling and reinstalling NitroSense, or attempting to use an older version. Additionally, if the issue persists, you could explore options like undervolting your CPU and GPU, or waiting for a Windows update. Some users have also found success by reinstalling the operating system or checking for BIOS updates.
Here's a more detailed breakdown of potential solutions:

    1. Update Software and Drivers:
      NitroSense:
Check for updates within the NitroSense application itself or on Acer's website.
      Graphics Drivers:
Update your NVIDIA or AMD graphics drivers from the manufacturer's website or through GeForce Experience.
    2. Uninstall and Reinstall NitroSense:
Completely uninstall NitroSense and then reinstall it.
Delete any NitroSense-related files from your app data and program files directories.
    3. Try an Older Version of NitroSense:
If the latest version is causing issues, you can try downloading an older version from the Acer website.
    4. Undervolting:
Undervolting your CPU and GPU can potentially help improve stability and prevent performance issues.
    5. Windows Update:
Check for Windows updates, as some users have reported that updates have resolved NitroSense issues.
    6. Reinstall Operating System:
If the problem persists, reinstalling your operating system might be necessary.
    7. BIOS Update:
Some users have found that BIOS updates can resolve issues with graphics settings.
    8. Check for Conflicts:
Ensure that no other software is interfering with NitroSense's functionality.
    9. Discrete GPU Mode:
If NitroSense is not properly switching to the discrete GPU, you might need to enable discrete GPU mode in your BIOS settings or through NVIDIA Control Panel.
    10. Use a Different Monitoring Tool:
If you need to monitor GPU usage, you can try using alternative tools like MSI Afterburner.

Thanks for your help. The problem recurs when Acer Software Component 1.2.107.14 is installed.
