Hello, I have an Acer Nistro AN517-55 and I want to upgrade the SDD with a piece I am interested in purchasing. The SDD piece is a Seagate (ST2000LX001) FireCuda 2TB. Is this piece compatible with my Acer model? Thank you for any help.

    Some Acer Nitro models have a 2.5" SATA bay, but your computer does not have a 2.5 "SATA bay.

    Please send us the part number so we can be sure.

    Example Part Number; NH.Qxxxx.xx

    Acer Nitro AN517-55 model;

    • There are 2 M.2 NVMe SDD bays.

    The biggest reason why the problems are not solvedis if someone who says there is a problem with the GPU says; If I change the case, will the problem be solved? That's the whole point! The concepts are different! We should not go off topic.

    Hello,

    I appreciate your reply. I understand that my nitro model does not have a SATA bay for this piece. However, I am still interested in upgrading the specs. Do you have any other recommendations on SDD pieces that would comply with this model? Thank you.

    The Acer Nitro AN517-55 laptop supports the SSD configuration:

    • 2x M.2 2280 SSD slot that support PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSDs

    The best high-performance NVMe SSDs compatible with the AN517-55 include:

    • Samsung 990 PRO PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD

    As for capacity and if you want to stay on safe side choose 1/2TB SSD. Higher size may also support but there's a little risk of compatibility issue

    Yes, I have presented the model suitable for this computer below. You do not need to buy a very expensive and branded NVMe SSD. Use it in good times.

    Buy M.2 SSD Acer FA100Buy M.2 SSD Acer FA100

    The below listed drives are the PCIe 4 x4 drives that Acer fits to the Nitro AN517-55 laptop, so look at those drives prices on the market and see how much they are, as they should be cheaper than the premium Gen 4 x4 drives like the Samsung 990 Pro NVMe which I'm also using on my PHN16-71 Neo Predator and its pretty quick or look at this Tom's Hardware site M.2 bench raking tests of M.2 SSD drives and chose the Gen 4 x4 drives from there that suits your budget. Good Luck.
