Hi i have an acer nitro 5 had a few years now suddenly some of the KB keys do not work at all. ctrl alt del doesn't work anymore and on the num pad key 3 and key 9 do not work I am worried it might spread to other keys. I keep the laptop clean always not sure why this would suddenly happen.

    Computer keyboards usually do not wear out or lose their life on their own.

    • Has there been any liquid contact on your keyboard?
    • Are you pressing the keys of your keyboard too hard?

    If none of these are the case and you say you are using it normally, if you have a skill or lever at the repair level, apply the following or send it to Acer Service, report the situation. They will help you.

    Simple manual method to do;

    • Remove the bottom case of your computer, (It may be out of warranty, the responsibility is yours!)
    • After opening the cover, find and remove the battery socket. The computer will not include the power connection charging adapter in any way!
    • Find and remove the flex cable of the keyboard socket of the computer.
    • Press and pull the on/off button of the computer 7 times repeatedly.
    • Then knock on the keyboard and pour out any small mini parts that have gotten inside.
    • Plug in the battery socket and turn on the computer. -When the desktop comes, try the keys by opening a word file or text document.
    • If everything works fine, no problem, if not, go to the next step,
    • Remove the battery socket again and completely remove the motherboard.
    • The bottom of the keyboard section will be visible to you. Clean that area and place the motherboard and keyboard back as before, turn on the computer again and try. If the keyboard works, no problem, if not, you will need to get a new keyboard from a computer repair shop or Acer service. In other words, the upper case needs to be re-ordered.

    The biggest reason why the problems are not solvedis if someone who says there is a problem with the GPU says; If I change the case, will the problem be solved? That's the whole point! The concepts are different! We should not go off topic.
