I'm using Nitro5 AN515-57 model and I bought gaming monitor 27GN800 LG Ultragear.

I just trying to use G sync because the monitor is G sync compatible but I can not find g sync enable option in NVIDIA control panel.

I tried both 2.1 HDMI cable and usb-c to dp cable.

Any solution?

Thank you.

    Hi @joony7739

Certain Acer monitors contain a G-SYNC module for gaming at high refresh rates. See the hardware requirements and setup instructions below to configure your G-SYNC monitor.

    Desktop hardware requirements:

    • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650Ti BOOST GPU or higher.
    • R340.52 driver version or higher
    • Windows 7 operating system or later
    • Must support DisplayPort 1.2 directly from the GPU.

    Notebook hardware requirements:

    • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M, GTX 970M or GTX 965M or higher.
    • R352.06 or higher
    • Windows 7 operating system or later

    G-SYNC configuration instructions

    1. Right click on the Windows Desktop and select NVIDIA Control Panel.
    2. Select Display from the links on the left and choose Set up G-SYNC.
    3. Check the box titled Enable G-SYNC.
    4. Select Set up Multiple Displays from the links on the left.
    5. Set the G-SYNC capable display as the primary display.
    6. Select Manage 3D settings from the links on the left.
    7. Change the vertical sync option to G-SYNC.

Access your monitor's on-screen menu and enable "Adaptive Sync" or a similar option, as it may be disabled by default. Also Don't use HDMI port as Gsync doesn't work with hdmi.

As using a USB-C to DisplayPort (DP) cable can support G-Sync, provided that the USB-C port on your laptop is connected directly to the NVIDIA GPU. This is because G-Sync requires a native DisplayPort connection to function properly. If your laptop's USB-C port is wired to an Intel GPU instead of the NVIDIA GPU, you may not see G-Sync options in the NVIDIA Control Panel.

G-Sync supports graphics adapter according to laptop model. Please check NVIDIA control panel and read below.

Note: If you are using an AMD processor and it is AMD Radeon Graphics 7, it supports FreeSync.

G-Sync Compatible = Freesync = DisplayPort Adaptive-Sync. Different screens have different refresh rate ranges for DP Adaptive Sync.

G-Sync = G-Sync, a different technology made for the same goal by NVIDIA, it has superior latency and a bunch of other minor details. Screens are certified by NVIDIA, so you know you'll get a certain good minimum level of performance

G-Sync Ultimate = G-Sync with more stringent requirements, like certain HDR requirements, etc.

Most laptops with an RTX 3050 Ti will support all variants of G-Sync, but it's possible some of them have the video output wired up to the Intel iGPU, those won't support G-Sync. Unfortunately nobody documents this stuff.

The biggest reason why the problems are not solvedis if someone who says there is a problem with the GPU says; If I change the case, will the problem be solved? That's the whole point! The concepts are different! We should not go off topic.
