CPU overheating on Predator Orion 3000 despite low usage, possible cooling or sensor Issue?

Okay so here is the deal, I purchased an Orion predator 3000 from currys it has a i71300F CPU and a NVIDIA 4070 GPU I bought this about a year and a bit ago, I rarely have used it so its not misuse or anything I regularly clean it out when I think my CPU is getting too hot and I have had to replace the thermal paste once and yes I know what I am doing in that sense I understand the basics of that and other principals of hardware issues and sofware issues however I have never come across this and even when I search online I cant seem to find much about it either. I have asked my cousin who works with PCs and is very smart when it comes down to all that and he said it could be the GPU however Im not saying he is wrong but it makes 0 sense to me why my CPU would be getting hot when I have the fans turned down to normal even just browsing the web and im talking 60-80*C but when I increase the fans speed the CPU temp goes back to normal around 35-45*C when gaming it goes up but to around 70*C if the fans are on full however if not it will hit about 90*C but ive never had that other than testing it which says to me that my fans need to be stronger. Anyway… Like I havent had this for long at what makes no sense to me about it being the GPU is when im browsing the web sometimes I would have these issues (*Look at the images attatched) especially if the fans are normal speed or im sharing my screen on discord or something, but when im playing a game where the GPU is using the most power and im demanding a lot from it I have no issues at all it dont add up however I could be wrong and maybe that makes sense thats why Im here asking if any of you have any issues what could be causing this then that would be greatly appreciated I have tried an integrity file check and there is 0 Issue there either so im completely lost. I have also tried reinstalling the drivers and everything ect still the same issue I have also done a windows restoration to before I had any issues and still the same so im completely confused on what this may be and if you can assist It would be greatly appreciated.

Please ask any questions so I can help you understand better what it is and havent done so maybe you can figure it out cause im stumped.

Ive attatched images of what is happening and the device manager of the component that has an issue so you can see what im talking about clearly.

I do just want to mention that the fact that I bought this a year and a bit ago and I am having issues with my device already especially after not using it all that much, I used it alot in the first 3 months but other than that not really much at all. Its not great that I buy something off currys and its a product Acer themselves sell to them and there is already issues with what could be a potential hardware fault is not ideal and considering ive rarely used it I feel as that you should really look into the devices more before selling.

You are experiencing a problem with your graphics card and this does not always mean that there is a chipset failure.

    • Please install the latest versions of Visual Studio 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2022.
    • Type %temp% in the search box of your computer and press enter.
    • Make sure that the folder that opens is "C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Temp",
    • Empty the folder, delete everything.
    • Completely uninstall the NVIDIA software.
    • Restart the computer.
    • Download and install the version 553.62 from the Nvidia website, which is not the current software.
    • Then restart the PC again.
    • Repeat the process you did and try it, let us know.

The biggest reason why the problems are not solvedis if someone who says there is a problem with the GPU says; If I change the case, will the problem be solved? That's the whole point! The concepts are different! We should not go off topic.

CPU overheating in an Acer Predator Orion 3000, even with low usage, could be due to several factors, including faulty thermal paste, insufficient cooling, or software issues. Troubleshooting involves checking for malware, monitoring CPU usage in Task Manager, and potentially upgrading the cooler.
    Here's a more detailed breakdown:

    1. Identify the Root Cause:
      Malware:
Pirated games or other software can sometimes be wrapped in malware that uses excessive CPU resources, causing overheating according to some users on Microsoft Community.
      CPU Usage:
Use Task Manager to check what applications or processes are consuming CPU resources, even when the PC is idle. Look for processes like ACCSTD.exe (Acer Care Center), which can be a resource hog.
      Idle Temperatures:
Normal idle temperatures should be in the 40-50°C range. Higher temperatures (70°C or above) could indicate a problem with thermal paste or cooling.
      Gaming:
While 80-90°C during heavy gaming is considered normal, even higher temperatures during idle might point to an issue.
      GPU Overheating:
Consider if the GPU is also overheating, as it can contribute to overall system temperature.
    2. Troubleshooting Steps:
      Check Thermal Paste:
If the cooler isn't making good contact with the CPU, or if the thermal paste is dried out or improperly applied, it can lead to overheating according to Acer Community. Consider repasting the CPU with a new, high-quality thermal paste.
      Cooler Upgrade:
Replacing the stock cooler with a more powerful one can significantly improve cooling performance according to Acer Community. Consider a tower cooler like the Noctua NH-U9S [5, 11.
      Fan Upgrade:
If the fans are noisy or not spinning efficiently, consider replacing them or ensuring they are properly connected.
      Software:
Uninstall unnecessary software and background processes. Consider a clean install of the Acer Care Center if it's a problem.

Thank you It isnt malware i dont download anything dodgy for it to be that I am very careful in that sense, I have also done a check to make sure it isnt and my system seems fine in that regard, I did recently change the thermal paste due to the tempratures and Its still somewhat at a high temp. will the noctua fan work with the Orion 3000 then? Also i was thinking about geting a liquid cpu cooler does that work with the orion or is it not possible? I am confident that it cant be my GPU as like I said before in my post that the GPU when on games ect dont seem to play up at all and the only real issue I seem to have is the 1st and 2nd picture and thats when I am not gaming

What do you mean when you say the CPU is overheating? 110C, 100C, 80C, 60C? Which PO3 model do you have? I'm guessing PO3-640 or PO3-650? With the latest chipsets, Intel is asking for them to run hotter than the older versions, with an extra 10-15C added before throttling or shutdown. A poor thermal paste job would certainly lead to higher temperatures, but if you were actually overheating before the job then we'd like to address that before just repasting again. For those PO3 systems that are running intensive applications, and running hotter than normal, we typically recommend a cooling revamp using something like the Noctua. Also, before you start trying everything one of the AI bots suggest, back up and take a breath. :)

I cant delete everything from %temp% folder so I just did this after deleting what I can and Im still having the same issue. This is annoying I did some research and found that the 4070 is knkwn for issues and ive had this GPU for about a year and rarely used it on anything major so there shouldnt be an issue and now Im having issues with it because Nvidia messed up and im having to deal with the issues? This should of been tested before release the fact that its not just me clearly shows there is an issue with this GPU as a whole its frustrating!

PO3-650 I believe, and yes it hits around 90C -100C I did explain this in my original post. I have tried the thermal paste and no I havent botched it I know how to do that. I think your right in the fans arent strong enough and I have been told the noctua is a good replacement however Im thinking about liquid cooling do you know of anything that works in that model?

Try another driver, please download and install version 553.62 or lower from nvidia website according to brand model number. You are downloading the wrong driver.

and also do not install nvidia experience, just install the driver.

Do as I said and let us know again.
