hello, I just bought an oled monitor last week and it came yesterday. I used this for the first time today and I’m experiencing really bad flickering when I switch between tabs. I tried turning off vrr, adjusting the brightness, capped the fps to the refresh rate in nvidia control panel, plugged the DP into a different port in my gpu. but the same problem still occurs. Does anyone have any solutions? My old monitor worked fine so it’s definitely not cause of the gpu.

OLED flickering can be caused by various factors, but there are a few things you can try to minimize it:

Adjust Refresh Rate Range – You can try by tweaking the VRR range using a tool like Custom Resolution Utility (CRU). Reducing the range e.g., setting it to 82-165Hz can help stabilize refresh rate fluctuations. Some software flickering issues arise due to auto-brightness settings or hardware acceleration. Try disabling these features in your display settings.

Even though your old monitor worked fine, OLED panels can be more sensitive. Try using a high-quality DisplayPort or HDMI cable. Lowering brightness and adjusting contrast settings can sometimes reduce flickering. If your monitor supports multiple refresh rates, try switching between them to see if one works better.

I hope this helps! If this was useful, please hit 'Yes' or 'Like'! Thanks! 😊
