The Acer Aspire 3 A315-41 with a Ryzen 3 processor supports two types of SSDs: an M.2 SATA SSD in the 2280 form factor and a 2.5-inch SATA SSD or HDD. It's important to note that the M.2 slot in this model supports SATA interface only and does not support NVMe or PCIe-based SSDs, so installing an NVMe drive will not be compatible. Additionally, users have the option to either replace the existing 2.5-inch SATA hard drive with a 2.5-inch SATA SSD or add one if the slot is available, offering a way to improve storage speed or expand capacity.

Some A315-41 models may not have an M.2 slot. Would you like help finding the exact SSD compatibility for your specific model? If so, share your full model number e.g., A315-41-R7XX or only the first 10 digit of the serial number from the laptop’s sticker.

I hope this helps! If this was useful, please hit 'Yes' or 'Like'! Thanks! 😊

The Acer Aspire 3 A315-41 may not compatible with NVMe SSDs—it only supports M.2 SATA SSDs. Even though the M.2 slot may look similar to an NVMe-compatible slot, the laptop's chipset does not recognize NVMe SSDs
