The computer (graphics) does not support changing the frequency. What graphics driver do you have installed, the Acer one or the one from the graphics card manufacturer?

What is your Predator laptop exact model number? As 180Hz refresher rate is very unusual as a high end screen for a laptops are usually 144Hz / 185Hz and 240Hz with these Predator laptops. There must be something wrong with the laptop screen detection sensor, as there is no such screen as a 180Hz screen for a laptop, but there are 180Hz screens for external monitors, this is very strange.

It's likely that your Predator display shows 180Hz instead of the stated 165Hz because it's utilizing an overclocking feature. Many monitors, even those marketed with specific refresh rates, can be overclocked to slightly higher frequencies, allowing them to potentially display 180Hz. This requires enabling the overclocking feature, often found in the graphics card control panel or the monitor's OSD settings. To enable this, you'll need to access either the NVIDIA Control Panel (if you have an NVIDIA graphics card) or the monitor's OSD settings (on-screen display).
