shift+search/launcher key+p should toggle it off & on.

Doesn't work on my Acer 513.

Try this sequence. Open web browser. Enter chrome://flags/#ash-debug-shortcuts in address bar. Enable 'Debugging keyboard shortcuts' option. Restart Chromebook. Then press Search+Shift+P.

The 513 models are very different from the 714 models. Open a new thread for your issue please…

The suggestion given works on my 516ge and my 515. An alternative is to go to Accessibility in System Settings and scroll down to cursor and touchpad. There's a setting for disabling the touchpad.

To disable the touchpad on your Chromebook Spin 714, you can use a keyboard shortcut or enable a Chrome flag. The keyboard shortcut is Search + Shift + P, which toggles the touchpad on and off. Alternatively, to enable a Chrome flag, go to chrome://flags/#ash-debug-shortcuts, enable the flag, and restart your Chromebook. Then, use the same keyboard shortcut (Search + Shift + P) to toggle the touchpad.
    Detailed Steps:

    1. Using the keyboard shortcut:
Press the Search key (usually the Chrome OS logo).
      Press the Shift key.
      Press the P key.
Repeat the steps to toggle the touchpad back on.
    2. Using a Chrome flag:
Open Chrome and type chrome://flags in the address bar.
      Search for "ash debug shortcuts".
Enable the "Debugging keyboard shortcuts" flag.
      Restart your Chromebook.
Use the keyboard shortcut (Search + Shift + P) to toggle the touchpad.
