Issues with Chromebook Certified Wireless Keyboard AKR920 & Mouse ARM800, Mouse not working

Mouse is no longer operational. Both devices show in ChromeOS as 2.4 G RF keybard and mouse. Keyboard must now be set to TOGGLE ON 'Use function keys as top row keys.' So even though it has top row keys, you must pretend it has function keys. Easy workaround, but exactly opposite what it should be. Mouse with new batteries and functioning is not recognized at all. Restarts, pressing 'connect' hard button… Nothing works. Please tell me how I can fix this, because I cannot install any drivers or firmware under ChromeOS, so consequently I would like that certified operability established somehow. Thanks.

Here are some steps you can try:

If your keyboard and mouse use a shared USB receiver, ensure it’s properly connected. If possible, test it on another device.
Reset Bluetooth & USB Devices – Go to Settings > Bluetooth and remove the mouse. Then, reconnect it. If it’s a USB device, try a different port.
Power Cycle the Mouse – Remove the batteries, press all buttons to discharge residual power, wait a minute, then reinsert fresh batteries.
Check ChromeOS Settings – Go to Settings > Device > Mouse and Touchpad and see if the mouse is listed. If not, try toggling Bluetooth or USB settings.
Try Guest Mode – Restart your Chromebook and log in as a guest. If the mouse works in guest mode, the issue might be account-related.
Update ChromeOS – Go to Settings > About ChromeOS > Check for updates to ensure you’re running the latest version.
Factory Reset (Powerwash) – If nothing works, consider resetting your Chromebook (Settings > Advanced > Reset Settings > Powerwash). This will erase all local data, so back up important files first.

If your mouse still isn’t recognized, it might be a hardware issue. It could be worth reaching out to the Acer Support for further assistance.

I hope this helps! If this was useful, please hit 'Yes' or 'Like'! Thanks! 😊
