There are some scratches visible on my acer nitro 5 monitor (one bottom edge and bottom 2 corners ) , i have a screen guard covering it , but my mouse cursor is visible behind those scratches so chat gpt is saying that it is not a pixel problem but highly likely to be a problem with the screen guard , I just wanna be sure about it!!!

Take the screen guard off and see if those screen scratches visible, as a screen going bad is highly unlikely and should be the last thing that can happen.

If your mouse cursor appears normally behind the scratches, the issue is likely caused by the screen guard rather than the display itself. To confirm, remove the screen guard and check if the scratches remain. If they disappear, the screen guard was the cause. If the display has other issues like dead pixels or discoloration, it could be a screen defect
