Why Does My Acer XV272U Monitor Flicker at 144Hz Refresh Rate?

I purchased the Acer XV272U monitor about 4 months ago, and it recently started flickering when set to 144Hz. Strangely, it works perfectly fine at 120Hz. I've tested it with multiple cables including HDMI 2.0, HDMI 2.1, and DisplayPort, but the flickering persists across all ports.

Has anyone else experienced this issue with this monitor?
Any suggestions on how to fix it would be greatly appreciated.

I've attached a video of the flickering for reference:

If 120Hz works fine, but 144Hz flickers, it might indicate a bandwidth limitation or panel instability.Ensure that your monitor is correctly configured to support 144Hz.
You can try turning off FreeSync/G-Sync temporarily to see if the flickering stops. Some monitors have sync-related flickering at higher refresh rates.

An outdated or incompatible display driver could be the issue. Try updating, rolling back, or reinstalling your display driver. Use the Display Driver Uninstaller to clean-install the latest drivers. If already updated, Reset the monitor to factory settings via the OSD. Sometimes, incorrect settings cause instability.

You can also try connecting your monitor to a different computer to see if the issue persists. This can help determine whether the problem is with the monitor or your system.

I hope this helps! If this was useful, please hit 'Yes' or 'Like'! Thanks! 😊
