Acer Chromebooks do not currently support face recognition for unlocking the device. However, Chromebooks have introduced a feature called "Face Control," which allows users to control their Chromebook using facial gestures and head movements. This accessibility feature is designed to assist users with limited mobility.

Face Control, a feature that allows you to control your Chromebook with facial gestures and head movements, is available on Acer Chromebooks that have a Chrome OS version of M132 or higher. Specific models like the Acer Chromebook Plus Spin 514 (CP514-4HN) and the Acer Chromebook Plus 515 are examples of models that support Face Control.

If you're looking for face unlock functionality, it might not be available yet, but you can keep an eye on updates from Acer or Google for future developments.

I hope this helps! If this was useful, please hit 'Yes' or 'Like'! Thanks! 😊

Yes, face recognition for controlling your Chromebook is available through the Face control accessibility feature. This feature, rolled out with ChromeOS version M132 and higher, allows users to control their Chromebook using facial gestures and head movements.
    To enable Face Control:
Check your ChromeOS version: Ensure your Chromebook is running ChromeOS 132 or a later version.
Open Settings: Click the time at the bottom right of your screen or press Alt + Shift + s.
    Navigate to Accessibility: Select "Accessibility".
Select Cursor and touchpad: Choose "Cursor and touchpad".
Turn on Face Control: Find "Face control" and turn it on.
    Basic Functionality:
Head movements: By default, head movements control the mouse cursor, says Google Help.
Facial expressions: You can assign actions to specific facial expressions, such as a smile for left-click, says Google Help.
Cursor control: You can adjust cursor speed, cursor stability, and cursor acceleration in the Face Control settings.
