Can I know the details about the RAM supported by my acer laptop?
My laptop has a DDR4 8GB onboard Ram of 3200 MHz and I want to add another Ram to the other slot. What kind of RAM with a MHz speed can fit into that slot?

Laptop name :- Acer aspire 5 A515 56G 11Gen

This model comes with either 4GB or 8GB onboard memory, in your case you can use a 16GB DDR4 3200MHz module to upgrade in the removable RAM slot to make the total memory up to 24GB (8GB onboard+16GB).

The best RAM speed will be achieved in Dual Channel Mode with two identical RAM modules, you have to find out the part number of the 8GB soldered module and buy exactly the same module. To find the part number run this command: wmic memorychip list full

Your Aspire A515-56G with its Intel i5-1135G7 cpu has a max capacity ram speed as specified by Intel of its internal soldered memory of either a 4GB or an 8GB type memory @ LPDDR4x-4267 type ram, these laptops can also be upgraded wit removable memory of max spec into their 1x DIMM slot with max 1x 16GB DDR4-3200MT/s CL22 type ram.

Your Aspire A515-56G is fitted with a 1x Kingston PART #: ACR26D4S9S 1KA-4 @ 4GB DDR4-2666MT/s removable type ram into its 1x DIMM slot, which is the slower ram, as the fastest ram is the DDR4-3200MT/s CL22 and that is why in the Task Manager the ram speed is showing at 2667MT/s speed.

The memory list below is what Acer tested the Aspire A515-56G laptop memory with and all these ram modules work 100%, so and if you want the fastest and max ram capacity for your A515-56G laptop buy and upgrade your existing 4GB ram to the highlighted 16GB DDR4-3200MT/s CL22 type memory modules listed below. Good luck and hope this helps you out further.

This is the ON BOARD RAM configurations of either 4GB or 8GB for the Aspire A515-56G laptop.

Type of ram fitted and tested by Acer and the DDR4-3200MT/s CL22 is the fastest

please suggest me which one i need to pick among these three model.

    1. Crucial basic 16GB DDR4-3200 SODIMM

    (UPC 649528940858)

    2. Cruicial RAM 16GB DDR4 3200 Mhz CL22 Laptop Memory CT16G4SFRA32A

(Features: ECC Type Non-ECC, Form Factor SODIMM, Pin count 260-pin, PC SPeed PC4-25600, Voltage 1.2V, Rank and configuration 1Rx8 or 2Rx8)

    3. EVM 16GB DDR4 Laptop RAM 3200Mhz ( EVMT16G3200S88P) Form Factory DDR4 SODIMM Speed-3200MHz CAS Latency CL19(3200), 1.2V, pins 260-pin

The suitable 1x 16GB Crucial RAM which is listed at their Acer Aspire A515-56G RAM & SSD Upgrades, so use the part # module below only and forget about the rest.

    Crucial 16GB DDR4-3200 SODIMM

    • Part #: CT16G4SFRA32A
    • Configuration ID: CT21200457

    DDR4-3200 • CL=22 • NON-ECC • SODIMM • 260-pin • 1.2V • 2Rx8/1Rx8 • PC4-25600

Hi Thanks for the clarity @StevenGen, If i could use the RAM 1x16GB DDR4 3200 Mhz CL22 CT16G4SFRA32A.

So, At the max it would support 20GB. am i right? please correct me if i wrong.

    Onboarded memory is 4GB X 2 ( Kingston & SK Hynix).

    If i pick 1x16GB DDR4 3200 Mhz CL22 CT16G4SFRA32A , which existing RAM i need to replace.

Your Aspire A515-56G model has only 1x ram module and 4GB internal soldered onto the mainboard ram. So 4GB onboard ram + the 1x 16GB DDr4-3200MT/s CL22 type removable ram equals 20GB total and the ram will run at 3200MT/s speed. Its a simple formula and all you have to do is follow the suggested specs of your cpu's ram capacity and speed, as that is how you determine the ram speed of your laptop. Good luck.
