    Turn off the laptop;
Make sure that the AC power adapter is connected to the computer and the power supply socket is powered. Ensure that all external devices connected are connected, and you can also unplug these devices to avoid them becoming a possible source of error. Before opening or restarting the laptop, make sure that it has been turned off for more than 10 seconds, and check whether the boot sequence is normal.

If the Acer One battery is stuck at 0% and won't charge, the most likely cause is a battery issue, potentially including a dead battery or a problem with the charging circuit.

Hi, the Acer Aspire One 14 Z1402-31ZJ came out in March 2017 and if the battery was never replaced after 8 years it will have died.

To reset your laptop battery, turn off the device, unplug the charger, and press the reset pinhole with a paperclip for 10-15 seconds. Then, reconnect the charger and power on your laptop. Additionally, ensure your charger is working by testing it with another device or trying a different charger. If the issue still exist in that case, the battery may need to be replaced

A black screen on a laptop can be caused by various software and hardware issues, including driver problems, overheating, or a faulty display or cable. Troubleshooting steps include restarting, checking the connection to an external monitor, updating drivers, and potentially addressing hardware issues.
Here's a more detailed breakdown of potential causes and solutions:
If your laptop battery is stuck at 0% and not charging, it could be a few different issues. First, try basic troubleshooting like checking the charger and power cord, or running the Power Troubleshooter in Windows. If that doesn't work, the battery might be dead, or the charging port could be damaged.
Here's a more detailed breakdown of potential causes and solutions:

    1. Check the Basics:
      Charger and Power Cord:
Ensure the charger is plugged in securely to both the laptop and the wall outlet. Try a different charger or power cord to rule out a faulty one.
      Charging Port:
Look for any visible damage to the charging port on your laptop. A damaged port might prevent charging.
    2. Run the Power Troubleshooter:
Windows has a built-in Power Troubleshooter that can diagnose and fix common power-related issues, including charging problems.
To run it, go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters > Power and select the troubleshooter.
    3. Check for Driver Issues:
Sometimes, outdated or corrupt drivers can interfere with the charging process.
Update or reinstall the battery driver:
Open Device Manager (search for it in Windows).
Expand "Batteries" and find your battery driver.
Right-click and choose "Update driver" or "Uninstall device" and then restart your computer.
    4. Battery Issues:
      Battery Calibration:
If the battery is not properly calibrated, it might not accurately display the remaining charge.
Let the battery discharge completely until the laptop shuts down, then charge it back to 100% and repeat this process a few times.
      Battery Reset:
If your battery is removable, try removing it, holding down the power button for 30 seconds, and then reinserting it.
      Battery Failure:
If the battery is completely dead, it may not be able to hold a charge anymore. This is a common issue, especially with older batteries.
    5. Other Potential Issues:
      BIOS/Chipset Updates:
Sometimes, outdated BIOS or chipset drivers can also cause charging issues.
      Background Apps:
Some apps running in the background can consume power and prevent the battery from charging properly. Disable any unnecessary background apps in Windows settings.
      Overheating:
If the laptop is overheating, it might temporarily stop charging to prevent damage.

If none of these solutions work, the battery might be permanently damaged or the laptop's charging circuitry might be faulty. In this case, you may need to replace the battery or have the laptop serviced by a professional.
