What is the full model number of your laptop?

    First try a power reset
To reset your Acer laptop using the battery reset pinhole, first ensure the laptop is turned off and unplugged from the AC adapter. Locate the battery reset pinhole on the bottom of your laptop, usually marked with a battery icon. Using a small paperclip or a similar object, press and hold the reset button inside the pinhole for about 5 seconds. After releasing the button, wait for approximately 5 minutes before plugging in the AC adapter and powering on your laptop. This process temporarily disconnects and reconnects the internal battery, which can help resolve power and battery-related issues.
If your laptop has a removable battery, try reseating it. Unplug the charger, remove the battery, press the
Power button for 9 seconds, insert the battery and plug in the charger to check the issue.

    Check the Charger and Port:
Ensure the charger and power port are clean and free of dust or debris.
Test with a different compatible charger to rule out a faulty adapter.

    Adjust Power Settings:
Go to your system's power settings and ensure it's set to "Balanced" or "High Performance" when plugged in.
Disable any power-saving features that might throttle performance.

    Run a Power Troubleshooter:
On Windows, search for "Troubleshoot" in the settings, select "Power," and follow the prompts to identify and fix issues.

I hope this helps! If this was useful, please hit 'Yes' or 'Like'! Thanks! 😊

Battery issues in the laptop are caused due to faulty batteries. If your laptop is old, then you need to replace the battery. You can also try to reset your laptop and update the driver updater software. Also, if there are any physical damages to the battery, then it's better to replace it.

There is a state in Windows where if the battery level is very low, but not so low that it can no longer charge, Windows will limit the charge rate to around 1A. When you get in that state, either minimize the work that you are doing to keep the laptop under that power level or shutdown, sleep or hibernate until the charge has risen enough for it to go back to normal charging. Without knowing which laptop you have and which OS you are running it's going to be tough for us to go much farther is trying to diagnose it. Your full model number is usually on the same sticker as your serial number, it should look something like xxxxx-xxx-xxxx.

Start by checking whether the charger and connection are secure, ensuring the cable and adapter are undamaged and trying a different wall outlet. If possible, test with another compatible charger to rule out a faulty power adapter. Next, check the battery status in Settings > Power & Battery to confirm whether Windows recognizes it. If the issue persists, perform a power reset by shutting down your laptop, unplugging the charger, removing the battery (if removable), holding the power button for 30 seconds, then reconnecting everything and turning it back on.

If your Acer laptop isn't charging when plugged in, several issues could be at play, ranging from simple fixes to more complex repairs. First, ensure the power cable and adapter are not damaged and that the cable is securely inserted into the laptop's charging port. If the problem persists, check the power outlet and try a different outlet to rule out a faulty outlet. If the charger and outlet are working, the issue might be with the laptop itself, potentially requiring battery reset or even replacement.
Here's a more detailed breakdown of potential causes and solutions:

    1. Check the Power Cable and Adapter:
      Inspect for damage:
Look for any fraying, cracks, or other physical damage to the power cable and adapter.
      Securely insert:
Make sure the cable is fully inserted into the laptop's charging port and the adapter is properly connected to the power outlet.
      Test with a different charger:
If possible, try using a different, known-good charger to see if the issue is with the original charger.
    2. Verify the Power Outlet:
Test with another device: Plug another device into the same outlet to confirm that it's working.
Try a different outlet: If the outlet you're using seems faulty, try using a different outlet on your wall.
    3. Check the Charging Port:
      Inspect for debris:
Look for any dirt, dust, or debris inside the charging port and try cleaning it out gently, if needed.
      Ensure proper connection:
Make sure the charging cable is securely connected to the laptop's charging port.
    4. Try a Battery Reset:
      Consult your laptop's manual:
Check your laptop's manual for instructions on how to perform a battery reset, which can sometimes resolve charging issues.
Press and hold the power button:
Some laptops have a reset button or procedure that can be used to reset the battery, as suggested by an Acer Community post and a video on YouTube.
    5. Check Battery Status:
      Monitor battery indicator:
Look for any charging or battery status lights on the laptop or adapter to see if they indicate that charging is in progress.
      Check Windows power settings:
In Windows, check the battery status and settings to ensure that it's configured to charge properly.
