Hi, I have the above Chromebook, which seems to refuse to sleep. I have switched on " sleep when lid closed", but after a minute or so, the machine shuts down and I then have to boot up again. This means that the fingerprint sensor is non functional. Have I missed something in settings? Has anyone else experienced similar. Hoping someone out there can help me….PLEASE?? Youngsie

It would likely help to know just which Spin 714 model you have. There have been several different ones over the years. Your full model number is usually on the same sticker as your serial number, it should look something like CP714-xxx-xxxx.

I have the same issue: When opening the lid when the Chromebook was in sleep it crashes and reboots at the first keyboard stroke.

You aren't the original poster, and we don't know if they have a CP714-1HN-53EJ like yours. Best would be to start a new thread for yours… It looks like yours is one of the models for Switzerland?
