The monitor flickers mainly in games and not always, sometimes when alt-tab from the working program on the photo. on the other monitor everything is normal with the same cables, settings, etc. the power cord in a different socket inserted, in the control panel nvidia put “vertical sync pulse”, nothing passes. the number of hertz also has no effect on this.

monitor is KG251QP3

Monitor flickering issues, especially during gaming or when using Alt+Tab, can be caused by several factors. Since your secondary monitor works fine, the problem is likely isolated to the KG251QP3. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and fix the issue:

Check Cable & Port Connections. Ensure the DP/HDMI cable is securely connected to both the monitor and GPU. Try a different cable (preferably a high-quality one, especially if using DisplayPort), or Test a different port on your GPU e.g., switch from DP to HDMI or vice versa.

    Update GPU Drivers
NVIDIA: Download the latest driver from NVIDIA’s website. NVIDIA’s website. For
AMD: Use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller in Safe Mode to remove old drivers before reinstalling. AMD’s website. For Intel Update via  Intel Driver & Support Assistant.

    Adjust Refresh Rate & Settings
Right-click desktop → Display Settings → Advanced Display Settings → Ensure the refresh rate is set to the monitor’s max likely 144Hz or 165Hz.If flickering persists, try lowering the refresh rate (e.g., to 120Hz) to test stability.

    Disable Adaptive Sync (FreeSync/G-Sync)
If the monitor supports FreeSync/G-Sync, try disabling it:
NVIDIA: Open NVIDIA Control Panel → Set up G-Sync → Uncheck "Enable G-Sync".
AMD: Open Radeon Settings → Display → Toggle off FreeSync.

Check Power Settings: Windows Power Plan: Set to High Performance (Control Panel → Power Options).
Monitor Power Saving Mode: Disable any eco/auto-brightness settings in the monitor’s OSD.

Test Different Resolutions & Modes, Try running games in Fullscreen instead of Borderless Windowed Alt+Tab issues are common in Borderless mode. Test a lower resolution to see if the issue persists.

Test on Another PC Connect the KG251QP3 to a different computer to rule out a GPU/software issue.

I hope this helps! If this was useful, please hit 'Yes' or 'Like'! Thanks! 😊
