Why isn't there any sound from my Monitor? What is the port near the speaker on back of my monitor?

There is a port on the back of my monitor. I don't know what it is for, but it is near a speaker. If you are facing the back of the monitor, it is in the lower right corner. Naturally, if you are looking at the screen, it is in the lower left quadrant. I can't find a plug that fits it and don't know where it connects with the computer.

What is your monitors exact model number, be more specific before we can give you a solution, as just saying "Why isn't there any sound from my Monitor?" means nothing as Acer makes thousands of different monitor models. Tell us the exact model before we can give you a solution and get your models SG up.

Be sure and include the full model number, there are extra letters after the model series, so something like ED320QR bmii rather than just ED320QR.

Because it's a computer monitor, it's not a tv. Most don't have speakers.

Please try each below if the monitor has a Built-in Speaker.

    1. Unplug the display/HDMI cable
      then power reset the computer.
Press the power button for 10 seconds to turn off
then unplug your power adapter for 30 seconds
      then plug your adapter.
      then start your computer.
Then try to plug in the Display/HDMI cable.
Select the monitor audio as your output device.
    2. Press Windows key + X
      then select Device Manager
Expand Sound, video, and game controllers
Then right-click on your monitor audio driver
      then select Uninstall.
      Then restart your computer.
Select the monitor audio as your output device.
