Acer Swift Go 16 Bluetooth keeps forgetting my devices or not recognizing them at all

I have an Acer Swift Go 16 Intel i7, new from Best Buy. The bluetooth keeps kicking my Logitech MX Keys keyboard off (forgetting it and making me repair) and does not recognize my mouse, so I have to use the dongle. I am about to return it short of a good solution.

What is the fill model number of your Acer shift Go16 SF16-XX-XXX?

To fix a non-functional Acer laptop touchpad, start by checking the FN key combination on your keyboard Press and hold the Fn key and tap the key F10 with touchpad symbol f that doesn't work, explore the Device Manager to update or reinstall the touchpad drivers. You may also need to check the touchpad settings in the BIOS
To change the touchpad or Bluetooth settings > Press the Windows key or select the Windows Start button > Settings > Bluetooth & devices or touchpad, and click the toggle under Bluetooth or touchpad to enable/disable it.

I hope this helps! If this was useful, please hit 'Yes' or 'Like'! Thanks! 😊

Does the WiFi work well? If it also has connection issues the solution might be as simple as reseating the antenna wires. If the WiFi is great and only the Bluetooth is having issues it's much more likely to be a software issue than hardware, since both functions are on the same chip.

The Bluetooth issues on the Acer Swift Go 16, where devices are forgotten or not recognized, can often be resolved by updating Bluetooth drivers, ensuring the Bluetooth service is running correctly, and checking power management settings. Additionally, running the built-in hardware and device troubleshooter can help identify and fix problems.

Here's a more detailed breakdown of troubleshooting steps:-

    1. Check Bluetooth Settings and Restart: Turn Bluetooth On: Make sure Bluetooth is enabled in Windows settings (Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices).Restart Bluetooth Support Service:Open Services (search "services.msc") and restart the "Bluetooth Support Service" and ensure its startup type is "Automatic".Run Bluetooth Troubleshooter:Press Windows key + W, type "troubleshooter" and select "Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter," then run it.
    2. Update Bluetooth Drivers:Device Manager:Open Device Manager (search for "Device Manager") and find the Bluetooth adapter. Right-click it and select "Update driver".Browse and Select:Choose to "Browse my computer for drivers" and then "Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer." Select the last available driver version.
    3. Power Management Settings:Disable Power Saving: Open Device Manager, find your Bluetooth adapter, right-click it, and go to "Properties" > "Power Management." Uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".
    4. Check for Conflicts:Multiple Bluetooth Devices:If you have multiple Bluetooth devices, ensure they are not interfering with each other. Consider pairing one at a time and testing.Interference:Ensure there are no other devices causing Bluetooth interference, such as other wireless devices or electromagnetic sources.
    5. Reinstall Drivers (If necessary):Uninstall: In Device Manager, uninstall your Bluetooth adapter and any related Bluetooth drivers (if prompted, delete the driver software).
    6. Restart: Restart your computer. Windows will automatically reinstall the drivers. Manual Installation: If Windows doesn't automatically reinstall the drivers, you can download and install them manually from the Acer website or the manufacturer of your Bluetooth device.

Update the Bluetooth drivers by visiting Acer's official support page and downloading the latest versions for your model. Disable power management for Bluetooth in Device Manager by unchecking the option to let the computer turn off the Bluetooth device to save power. Additionally, re-pair your Logitech MX Keys keyboard and mouse by removing them from the device list and following the pairing process again.
