Is it possible to upgrade anv15-51-53dg screen 144hz(NE156FHM-NX2) to 360hz(NE156FHM-NZ3 V8.1) or with higher ntsc(NE156FHM—nx6)

Upgrading to a 240Hz or even 360Hz panel is possible, if you match the size, connector, voltage, and cable bandwidth and are okay with some DIY risk. Your laptop’s 144Hz panel suggests it uses a 40-pin eDP connector that supports higher refresh rates. With a powerful GPU like the RTX 4050, it can handle 360Hz displays. BIOS and firmware are also less likely to block upgrades since the system already supports high refresh rates.

You need to watch out for Panel Compatibility, Stick with 15.6", 40-pin eDP, and the same voltage level usually 3.3V. Acer usually doesn’t restrict panel upgrades via BIOS, but it’s not guaranteed. Some laptops might default to 60Hz or fail to boot if the panel isn't fully compatible. Your laptop's GPU must recognize the new panel's EDID Extended Display Identification Data. Incompatibilities can cause flickering, black screen, or locked refresh rates. The current display cable must support the increased bandwidth of a 360Hz signal. Some 144Hz cables do, but others may need replacing still 40-pin, but higher spec.

For more suggestion, wait for any user who has successfully upgraded to chimin.

I hope this helps! If this was useful, please hit 'Yes' or 'Like'! Thanks! 😊

For the EDP cable, the current screen has a pin pitch of 0.5mm, while the others have a 0.4mm pin pitch. Is there any cable with a 0.5mm source to 0.4mm pitch, or should I just buy a 0.4mm pin pitch cable?

I upgraded my Nitro V15 screen to B156HAN12.H, which has 165Hz and 100sRGB. I got the screen used for the higher specification Nitro V15 to be safe. The 360Hz panel has a different eDP pitch size and might not be compatible.
