If your Acer KG271U monitor is stuck in a color cycle red, green, blue, etc. right out of the box, it's likely in factory test mode. This mode is used for testing displays and is not intended for normal use
Turn off the monitor using the power button.
Unplug the power cord from the monitor wait a few seconds.
Press and hold the monitor's menu button usually marked with a gear or square icon.
While holding the menu button, plug the power cord back in.
Keep holding the menu button for about 10–15 seconds, then release.
    Turn the monitor back on.
This should exit factory mode and stop the color cycling.

Make sure no cables are loose, and that the monitor is properly connected to your PC or device.

Reset the monitor settings through its on-screen display (OSD) menu — if you can access it.

If the cycling prevents all menu access, contact Acer support especially since it’s fresh out of the box and should be covered under warranty. Acer Support worldwide
