Model: Acer Aspire 7 A715-76G
OS: Windows 11

What I’ve Tried:

  • Installed and reinstalled AcerSense — works fine using the app.
  • Checked for Windows updates.
  • Verified BIOS is updated to the latest version.
  • Fn key works for brightness and volume, but not for performance toggle.

Hi everyone,
I'm using an Acer Aspire 7 A715-76G, and I can change the performance mode using the AcerSense app without any issues.

However, the Fn + F hotkey doesn't work to switch between performance modes. Other Fn keys like brightness and volume work fine.

If anyone knows how to fix this or if there's a specific utility or driver needed to enable the Fn + F key for performance switching, please let me know.

Thanks in advance!

Where did you get that the Fn + F keys switches Performance Modes on your Aspire A715-76G laptop from, as these keys are not listed in the A715-76G Acer service guide of doing anything.

There is no switch to switch this laptop to performance mode as it happens automatically and as required by the applications that the laptop requires. Have a look if there are any settings for performance in the oem apps like AcerSense or Acer Care Center for the Aspire A715-76G laptop. Good luck.

The Fn + F key do the following:

    • Controlling screen brightness
    • Turning Bluetooth on/off
    • Turning Wi-Fi on/off
    • Adjusting volume
    • Putting the computer to sleep
