Is their HDD installed in your laptop? HDD can cause wired noise as well. If you have one installed then boot into bios, disable it and check if you heard same noise.

Now, it can be dust, fan damage mostly. You have to first clean fans properly and also check for any damage. If issue persists then you need to take it to official acer service center for diagnosis and repair.

Hi, this is a 2020 laptop and if the fans were never cleaned do that now. Don't use any cleaning fluids or compressed air, just a soft cosmetics brush and rubber ball blower that you can get at any PC shop. After you opened the laptop disconnect the battery before touching anything inside. To clean the air vents, you have to remove the fans, turn the fan blades with your fingers and if you hear any sound that means a busted bearing, fans are cheap and easy to replace. A scratching noise from your Acer Nitro 5 fan often indicates a problem with the fan itself, likely due to dust, debris, or a faulty bearing. First, try cleaning the fan vents and blades with compressed air. If the noise persists, the fan may need to be replaced, especially if the bearing is damaged.
    Here's a more detailed breakdown:

    1. Clean the fan:
Dust and debris can interfere with the fan blades and cause them to scrape against the housing, creating a scratching sound. Use compressed air to gently blow out the vents and fan blades, being careful not to spin the fan too quickly.
    2. Check for damage:
Inspect the fan blades and housing for any visible damage, like cracks or loose pieces.
    3. Consider a fan replacement:
If the cleaning and inspection don't resolve the issue, the fan bearing might be worn or damaged, requiring a replacement. You can purchase replacement fans from online retailers like Zandparts or from Acer authorized service centers.
    4. Warranty check:
If your Nitro 5 is still under warranty, contact Acer support to see if they can cover the fan replacement.
    5. Professional help:
If you're not comfortable opening up your laptop and replacing the fan yourself, seek professional help from a qualified technician or authorized Acer service center.
