Can't tether a Lumia 1020 to my Windows 8.1 Aspire 4820T

I've got a Lumia 1020 with a tethering contract on my SIM, and I've successfully tethered my Nexus 7 tablet and a Huawei Android phone to it and gone online with both.

However, I cannot get it to tether properly with my laptop. It comes up on the list of networks and it connects, but the connection is 'Limited' and then on the desktop mode, when you view the icon in the bottom right it says 'No internet access'.

When you try go online it just says it cannot load the webpage.

I've no idea what is causing it but the phone settings are fine according to Three.

I've just tried out the Acer Updater but it says everything is up to date.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Alex, I've researched your problem and I'm stuck. If your laptop is going online all right, and other devices attached to your laptop go online all right, it would appear that the problem is with your smartphone.

Your smartphone is manufactured by Nokia and it contains a newly-designed software program that you might be unfamiliar with. Assuming that your Lumia is working fine on its own,  I can only say that it is probably a Nokia software issue that won't allow you to go online through your laptop.

Thanks for the reply. The other items tether to the Lumia fine, not the laptop. The Nexus 7 and Hauwei but connect to the Lumia and browse but the laptop doesn't, although it connects fine to other wifi sources.

I called Three tech support and they say the phone is working fine and it must be the laptop. I'm inclined to agree if only because the other devices tether ok.

I'm wondering if it is something in my network settings or something but I can't think what.

Any ideas? Thanks again for replying.
