the USB-A on my right-hand side can only be used for USB 2.0 device, not USB 3.2 thumb drive. Same thumb drive can be used on USB-A port on the left-hand side of my SF 16-51. Could you help?

    @cfteng

    It's likely the right-side USB-A port on your SF 16-51 is a USB 2.0 port, while the left-side port is a USB 3.2 port.

    It should work. Do you have other modern thumb drives to test with?

    I plugged in an USB portable HDD, it worked… But then I plugged in that 1TB thinkplus it still won't work… Looks like an IOP issue?

    Can you share a link of where you bought it? Do you know what file system it's using? exFAT? Have you tested on the machine that works to verify it actually is a 1TB drive, rather than a fake?

    I bought it from TaoBao, the link is : https://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?u=52u511kr5a34&id=714172188425&pisk=gWBasHM_KReNKv89s99qasRP_tp9IKz7otTXmijDfFYgMhwm3iSkclUYX6-clwEYXdsDuZ7BJxtb6rHV8Nsl1C_f1ExD-wjsCEw9gZS5yZMbB1tm3wsviZ6VDx-cmZE9llFCXGpvnza538sOXcoOrpBwoJ2hvnniIWOi_JS_Aza7F-PixKzaPNOCkryH43vDjIxD-k-22qvDiIv3YnxjSjDGokre03MmohxcxJx2cK0MsEvn-n-qoqYDivqeDeYDnKbDKk-xdlBPLrKysosQvAWoUvAMrGYEnYupqCqhxjMrUwKM_gjM8MsCLhRwrBh3KxXGRiX1BBUjkKICaZ5cryG6S-P8Q1azA7PWnbyC9ggxKADSIXGX8hJsI8MGHQK7xSF3FRlIBoShpvwmZAV9zkWbd1eaO5TD2jGPF5kBiiz5MRPTQKHtmlMC_s5HQXgQ4LBwn7eN1zrQajyQqKnNbWA_qc2sHKePkrFuli1z8NhEtlxMBx6YUZtajhvsHKePkrEMjdt5H87Xb5..&spm=a1z09.2.0.0.3baa2e8dbrgDVC&sku_properties=5919063%3A6536025

    It's file system is exFAT.

    It's not fake, or at least the capacity is 1T. I've tried to copied more than 900G files to it and then copied them to my disk (by another laptop) before.

    I'm not coming up with any good reason why it shouldn't just work fine.
