Wireless Adapter-ACER AX1470-UR26

Hello,

 

I just purchased an ACER AX1470-UR26 desktop, can you suggest the correct wireless adapter I need for this product? Thank you in advance!

    Hi,

     

    Let me know the Operating System of the computer.

    You can also check the wireless hardware name in device manager.

     

    Press windows Key + X select Device Manager==> Expand the network Adapters==> Wireless driver name.

    Hi,

     

    Thanks for the reply! my operating system is Windows 8 and under Network Adapters I have this "Microsoft Kernel Network adapter"  and "Realtec Pce GBE Family controller" my wireless modem is a "Bell Ewire" provided by my Internet Provider. The strange thing is I have internet on my Laptop and Tablet and On this new ACER Desktop all I have is a "Private Network" confusing! I know I need either a wireless card for the PCI slot or a usb wireless adapter which would be easier to use. Thanks in advance Smiley Happy

    Hi,

     

    The issue may be with the wireless driver. We can try reinstalling the the driver from the Acer eRecovery Management.

     

    Try this steps:

     

    1. Press the Windows key to open the Start screen.
    2. Type Recovery in the search box.
    3. Click Acer Recovery Management in the search results.

      Note: If asked to allow the program to make changes, click Yes.

    4. Click Reinstall Drivers or Applications.
    5. On the Contents tab, locate the WLAN driver to install and click the Install icon.

      Note: Additional Windows Features may be required for some program installations. Be sure you download and install these Features.

    6. Follow the prompts to install the driver or application.
