Hi, I need to enable/disable the keyboard of my Aspire 3, that works with windows 11, I´ve checked all the videos and supports possible. Only few are referred to windows 11 but I´ve tried several times the option of: "Right-click Standard PS/2 Keyboard and choose Uninstall device Uninstall", but it doesn´t work. May be somebody has another advice for me? Thanks in advanced.

    @JuanCuartas

    Have you tried to disable the keyboard in device manager instead of uninstalling it.? If you uninstall it will automatically install when you restart your device.
    Device Manager, find "Keyboards", right-click your laptop's keyboard, and select "Disable device" to disable.

    Try this, Press the Win key and type cmd in the Windows search bar.Right-click on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator. Click Yes when the UAC prompt appears.In the Command Prompt window, type the following command and press Enter:
    sc config i8042prt start= disabled
    When the success message appears, close the Command Prompt, and restart your PC. After the restart, your laptop keyboard will stop registering any inputs.

    If you change your mind and want to re-enable the keyboard, you can use the following command in an elevated Command Prompt.
    sc config i8042prt start= auto
    Once you see the success message, restart your PC to apply the changes.

    I hope this helps! If this was useful, please hit 'Yes' or 'Like'! Thanks! 😊

    Hi, tks for your answers.

    I tried the options Sharanji mentioned but hey didn´t work, I couldn´t find in some cases the options you mentioned.

    The Andre´s option worked partially well becasue it blocked the internal keyboard and the external mouse but not the laptop´s pad. I need the pad and the keyboard of te laptop blocked but the external mouse and keyboard working.

    Again, tks a lot.
